My children love receiving parcels just so that they can make something with the box.
Why not use the box that your toys arrive in to make a Bob the Builder Toy Yard?
You can use paints/felt tip pens/crayons to color the outside of the box. Cut doors and windows into the sides of the box big enough for the Bob the Builder toys to get in and out.
This will keep your children occupied for hours. My boys spent 3 days making the witch’s house from Hanzel and Gretel (using buttons and cut out shapes to look like sweets). They just kept going back and adding more to it.
This will also help to develop color recognition and creative skills.
If you need a little inspiration have a look at coloring pages where you will find lots of Bob the Builder toys characters to color in and cut out.
Please ensure that children are supervised at all times during this activity and that an adult is responsible for cutting the box.
Between the ages of 2 1/2 to 3 years children develop a greater awareness of others around them. They will often copy characters from the television or other adults. This is called role play. Dressing up outfits enhance your child’s experience, giving them confidence in new situations.
This Bob the Builder toy deluxe dressing up outfit includes a checked shirt, construction hat, soft rubber tool belt with adjustable Velcro® closure and safe plastic tools (hammer, screwdriver and wrench).
There are a few dressing up outfits to choose from although you do really need to be aware of the quality of the fabric. I know that once my children get dressed up they usual wear their costume all day including eating, sleeping, drinking and playing. The belt is detachable so if your little one does nod off “mid job” they will still be comfortable.LeapFrog: My First LeapPad Learning System 3-Book Set with Bob the Builder Saves the Porcupines
This is another must have to add to any Bob the Builder toys collection. It is a fantastic alternative to the many videos or DVD’s that are available. You can use the pen to follow the story or play the interactive games.
You will need the My First LeapPad Learning System
to go with this which is well worth the investment as you can get lots of other titles. My First LeapPad is a sturdy unit with an integral speaker and a magic pen, which reads the spiral flipbook, is included with the set.
This is a great LeapPad book. My 4 yr old loved it instantly. The familiar characters from Bob the Builder make this book lots more fun than the ones featuring the Frog. I especially liked the fact that this book helps to teach that teasing is not a nice thing to do.
• Interactive book
• Works with My First LeapPad only
• Teaches valuable lessons about safety
• Kids will delight in helping Bob the Builder help the porcupine family
• Teaches pre-reading skillsLook at these Bob the Builder toys
